When it comes to a Tarot Deck, it eventually calls for one to break away from another's meanings and encourages you to find and define your own for each of the cards. While the decks based on the Rider Deck will show symbolism throughout the deck, some will not. The Rider-Waite deck was the first one to add such to the Minor Arcana and all the decks based on it continue to carry this tradition. Any decks not based on this particular deck require more skill as there is no symbolism to work from. The illustration on the card will draw more from the origin of the Tarot Deck itself, a card game, with these cards simply showing geometric designs. These Cards range from Ace to 10 for numbers then Page, Knight, Queen and King for the Court Cards.
The overarching purpose of the Minor Arcana is to represent the mundane elements of life inside the deck. These cards are meant to be used to pull meaning from the inane elements of life and show you their impact. As you encounter a higher number or Court Card, the more you will need to think about the embodiment of the card. The higher it is, the deeper the meaning will be.
