Meanings:
Restriction, Confusion, Self-Imposition
Following the events of the Seven of Cards, the person has become trapped by their reason. The card depicts someone encircled by swords, tied and blindfolded. They cannot see a way out nor can they blindly struggle as they left with only their mind to figure out the solution to the puzzle they have around them.
For everything the suit of swords tells about, it is not one for tricks. This is not a card that will deceive you but instead show you that the solution rest in the same manner that you managed to bind yourself into it. This is a card that shows that our mind is as much an asset as a detriment at times.
One important thing to remember about this card is that it is ultimately self-imposed. The situation is one that you brought on yourself and one you can escape with some effort.
