The Major Arcana - Temperance

Meanings:
Holding a Balance, Health, Moderation, Consolidation

Temperance is about balance. Not just in one aspect, but in every aspect of one's life. It is taking all the experiences one has had and using that as a fire to temper yourself. It is a lengthy and some times painful experience, but the fires leave one much stronger. This card also represents the Four Humors that once represented our health. Again, it looks to find balance within the numerous elements inside one's life. It is important to find moderation in all things. One good way to look at this card is to see the Eye of the Storm that is surrounded by chaos.

The Fool's Journey
The Fool stands where Death left him. The light of the day has begun to fade. The Fool himself so little left of himself after his encounter being hung and Death. What is there though, the Fool finds new elements to add to himself. While he has struggled long, he knows now that his journey is about to enter its final phase. He hardens his pure self with the experiences of his past, finally finding a balance for all his thoughts, emotions and actions. He finds himself much stronger at the conclusion of his work. He walks on, beginning the final phase of his journey.
