• The Major Arcana - The Fool

      Meanings of the Card:
      Beginnings, Spontaneous, Faith, Folly

This card is one of birth, beginning but above all else, innocence. It shows the beginnings of new experiences and events. A chance to see something new that has not been seen before and something that will expand your view of the world. With its number traditionally being Zero, it stands both at the beginning of the Major Arcana but also separate from it and the Minor Arcana. Just the young person stands on the edge of the cliff, this card stands at the edge of the deck. This card stands for something new. It is trusting to life and going with the flow to just see where it goes. TO trust to folly is to follow the spirit of the card. Some of it is trusting to what others might see as "Crazy" or a "Pipe Dream" but it is following your heart. In a way, this card can represent a return to innocence.

      The Fool's Journey
This is the beginning of the journey through life. He is a fool for only a simple soul would be taking this voyage through life on faith with all its perils and pain. In this phase of his journey he is spontaneous, open and carefree. He is also oblivious to the cliff edge that he stands on. He is unaware of the dangers he will be facing on his Journey. This is the birth of the person and the journey, with only the desire for the journey. He holds a simple bundle of belongings and a desire to learn. Is this journey a folly or something more?
